Kahlil J. Wilson, 22, of Illinois was arrested for threats of a mass shooting at Eckerd College, among other felonies, according to a police report and investigation filed by the St. Petersburg Police Department.

The threats came after a woman that is a current Eckerd student broke up with Wilson in August.

According to an email sent to the student body from the Eckerd College Emergency Notification System, Wilson used social media to threaten the student and the campus.

Eckerd’s Campus Safety and Threat Assessment Team had implemented 100% ID checks at the front gate and increased police presence on campus when the threat was received.

Wilson is in custody on a $310,000 bail.
