The bright lights of the Amalie Arena dimmed. Everyone was instantly on their feet, cheering that their wait was finally over. The roar of the crowd was deafening in the packed arena. Screens above the stage lit up and the lower half of a C.G. face appeared.
“As It Is In Heaven” opened on Oct. 30 in Bininger Theater. With a cast of nine talented Eckerd students, the show told the story of an 1830s Shaker commune and the women therein.
“As It Is In Heaven” is an Eckerd production that will open Oct. 30 and run Oct. 31, Nov. 1 and 2 in Bininger Theater. The first three showings are at 8 p.m. and the last is at 2 p.m.

After planning throughout the summer, auditions in September, and practice four days a week, the play “Stupid F***ing Bird” will grace Eckerd College’s theater Nov. 9.
