For some, it's easy to forget the holiday season in the midst of finals, while others are readily counting down the days until more turkey, stuffing and their long awaited eggnog drink. For those already gearing up for the milky concoction, this five-minute healthy eggnog smoothie can be an easy picker upper. 

Ingredients

  • 3 cups almond milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 dates, pitted

Pro tip: If you buy dates that aren't pitted, don't forget to pit them before you toss them into the blender. Then just blend until everything is smooth and pour into a cup or your favorite festive mug with a sprinkle nutmeg and cinnamon on top.

At 145 calories, this smoothie is not only quick to make but much healthier in comparison to eggnog bought in the store. Making it can also serve as a well-deserved study break.
